Haywire

We will be watching a Sunday afternoon showing of the movie.

Movieticket.com shows the first showing as 12:30pm. Please arrive at 12:15pm.

We will have Lunch after the movie @ McAlister's Deli (In same parking lot as Theater).

Mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar Gina Carano ("American Gladiators") makes her feature film debut, starring and performing her own high-adrenaline stunts. The film's talented cast also includes Channing Tatum ("GI Joe: Rise of the Cobr"), Ewan McGregor ("The Ghost Writer"), Michael Fassbender ("X-Men: First Class"), Antonio Banderas ("Desperado"), Bill Paxton ("Titanic"), Michael Douglas ("Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps") and Michael Angarano ("Almost Famous").

In "Haywire," an electrifying tale of espionage and betrayal, a female covert ops specialist (Carano), who works in the deadly world of international operatives, strikes back after discovering she's been double-crossed by someone close to her in the agency. The film is produced by Gregory Jacobs ("Ocean's" Trilogy) and written by Lem Dobbs ("The Limey").

We will have Lunch after the movie @ McAlister's Deli (In same parking lot as Theater).

There is a $1 charge to attend this Meetup.

I will collect cash at the Meetup. The charge pays for various expenses I incur as organizer.

I will post the actual movie start time later next week, when the times are available. We meet up 15 minutes before the movie start time near the seating area outside the bar to the left of the ticket area.

The lead actor was better looking than Tom Cruse, and fought better than Bruce Willis, she really kicked ass.

I went to Stonybrook to purchase ticket. I got there 12:48, clerk said it had already started, so I didn't want to get in late..that's why I didn't make it!!! I certainly gave it my best effort!!!

Slow pace. Some awkward staging. Great ending.

The movie was okay. There was no suspense that led up to each action scene. This was a B type of movie, which was surprising with the cast of seasoned co-stars.
