The movie group used to work differently. It was changed for a few reasons:
 
1. I cannot know all the movies the theater will play until a few days before the meetup. This meant I had to setup the voting out right away and then have everyone vote in 48-72 hours.
2. Often the people who voted to watch a movie didn’t come to watch it. There was one movie where no one who voted for the movie came to watch it!
3. We used to meet on the same Saturday each month, regardless of when movies opened. We often had the issue that people would have already watched the movie its opening weekend, since they didn’t know the group would be watching it.
 
My solution to the above issues is to schedule movies that I want to watch on their opening weekend. That way anyone interested will know months in advance that the group will be watching the movie.
 
Whenever there is enough interest by group members in seeing additional movies or doing other activities, we’ll schedule those as well. I encourage everyone use the Ideas page to suggest movies or other activities.
