Happy Anniversary
We just passed our second anniversary with 148 members making us the 10th largest Meetup group in Louisville!

Cost (bad news first)
Starting with this month’s meetup, there will be $1 per person per meeting fee. This money will be used to cover the Meetup cost (organizers have to pay), supplies, door prizes, and other expenses I incur as organizer. When you RSVP “Yes” you will need to use a credit card to pay $1 per person in your party. The payment processing is done by Amazon Payments; yes, the book people. If you are diabolically opposed to using Amazon Payments, just email me and I’ll RSVP for you and take cash at the meetup.

New and Improved!
Have you ever wanted to tell someone about this group, but couldn’t remember the long Meetup address? Now all you have to tell them is LouisvilleMovieFans.com and they’ll go right to our page!

Games After the Movie
For the last two months we have played Cineplexity during the after movie discussion. It’s a ton of fun. Look forward to playing at future meetups! Now and again we’ll have other games as well.

Picking the Movie
Each month I put up a poll and ask members to vote on which movie to see. I figure this is the best way to make the most people happy. The group on more than one occasion gone to see a movie that no one who showed up on Saturday afternoon voted for. Please only vote for movies you are willing to commit to come see at the time specified. If one of your choices wins, you're expected to come see it with us. I’m putting a reminder of this at the top of every poll.

Showing Up
Now I must ask a favor of each of you. Please make a commitment to come as often as you can to the meetup. Our meetings always start between 12:15 and 2 PM on the 1st Saturday of the month (except in May due to Derby) and always at Showcase Stonybrook. Each month a few people show up and wonder where everyone else is. If I could get all of you to show up at once, or heck even 20% of you, we’d have a good size group. If you can get a large turnout on a consistent basis, I would be able to get special deals, tours, and possibly special showings for our group. You joined this group to meet people, now come on out and do it.
